POC privileged to attend the Gauteng and SA Orienteering Championships from 17th to 19th June 2016. Learning from other fellow orienteers was quite useful, one of the orienteers shared recipe of doing well in navigating in the forest terrain. He said that focusing, concentration and speeding should be considered for day 1 & 2 courses. POC athletes were mainly focusing and concentrating since orienteering challenges both mentally and physically, they were enjoying the atmosphere of the challenge since they were practicing the skills mentioned above.
